2nd hand furniture

With 5 week until the arrival of our first baby, hubby and I have managed to paint the nursery.. We've got a collection of  pictures to go up, along with the wall stickers.. the new cot is on order but the rest of it is in the garage waiting to be moved in.

We have done so well acquiring 2nd hand furniture from our  friends, with a Kidsmill baby changer and shelf £30 - see paint job and new handles below

Nursery chair - £10 from the tip in St Albans, don't judge, just look at it.. they have a 2nd hand furniture section.. and we couldn't believe out luck it still has the labels on the cushions.. 

With the pair of us working for ourselves the amount of available cash to 'deck out' the room for the baby has been limited and rather than being overwhelmed by it, we've been practical.. 

Family members and friends are all hanging tight until Baby S arrives to buy us items on our list - there seems to be a strong belief amongst our lot to wait until our bundle has arrived which suits us fine. Everyone tells us you bring your bubba home and then whilst it sleeps soundly the pair of you look at each other wondering what to do.. so opening presents sounds a perfect distraction..
